Understand Your Situation
When a joyride goes wrong and damage or injury occurs, the law comes down hard. We limit the damage to your future.
Defending Aggravated TWOC
Basic joyriding becomes 'Aggravated' if the vehicle is driven dangerously, causes an accident, or causes damage to property or people. While the maximum sentence is usually 2 years, it can be 14 years if a death occurs.
We investigate the driving. Was it actually dangerous? Did you cause the damage, or did it exist beforehand? Crucially, if you were a passenger and did not encourage the bad driving, you may have a defence. We fight to distinguish your role from that of the driver.
Passenger in Stolen Car?
You might not be responsible for the driver's actions. We defend you.

Plan Your Defence
Passenger Liability
The law often treats passengers as equally guilty. We challenge this. If you asked the driver to stop or were unable to get out, you are not complicit in the aggravation.
We also scrutinise the value of the damage. If the damage is under £5,000, the sentencing powers are lower. We employ independent valuers to ensure the police do not exaggerate the costs to increase the charge severity.
Accident or Damage?
We challenge the cause and cost of damage to reduce your sentence.
Legal Aid Availability
For many criminal matters, from police station interviews to Crown Court trials, public funding (Legal Aid) may be available to cover your legal costs.
Eligibility is determined by the seriousness of the case and, in some instances, a means assessment. Our team will conduct an immediate, confidential assessment of your eligibility to ensure that financial constraints do not stand in the way of a robust defence.
