Extradition Requests

Understand Your Situation

Facing extradition is terrifying. We use Human Rights laws and technical bars to keep you in the UK.

Defending Extradition Requests

Extradition is the formal process where another country asks the UK to hand you over for trial or sentencing. Whether it is a Part 1 (European) or Part 2 (Rest of World) territory, the process is fast and strict. You need immediate specialist advice.

We challenge the validity of the warrant. We check for 'bars to extradition': Is the request politically motivated? Has too much time passed (Passage of Time)? Would extradition breach your Human Rights (Article 8 Family Life or Article 3 Prison Conditions)? We have a track record of discharging warrants based on these technical arguments.

Interpol Red Notices

Often, an extradition request starts with an arrest at an airport due to an Interpol Red Notice.

We work to delete these notices. We petition the Commission for the Control of Interpol's Files (CCF) to remove data that breaches their rules, often allowing clients to travel freely again even before the extradition hearing is fully resolved.

Travel restricted? We fight to clear your name with Interpol.

Legal Aid Availability

For many criminal matters, from police station interviews to Crown Court trials, public funding (Legal Aid) may be available to cover your legal costs.

Eligibility is determined by the seriousness of the case and, in some instances, a means assessment. Our team will conduct an immediate, confidential assessment of your eligibility to ensure that financial constraints do not stand in the way of a robust defence.
