Production & Cultivation of Cannabis

Understand Your Situation

Cannabis production charges range from a few plants in a wardrobe to industrial-scale operations. We tailor our defence to the specific reality of your case.

Defending Cannabis Cultivation Charges

Under Section 6 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, it is an offence to cultivate any plant of the genus Cannabis. The severity of the charge depends entirely on the scale: number of plants, potential yield, and sophistication of the setup.

We regularly defend clients found in 'cannabis farms'. In many cases, those tending the plants are victims of trafficking or coercion (Modern Slavery). If you were forced to work, we use the *Section 45 Modern Slavery Act* defence to stop the prosecution. For smaller cases, we argue personal medical use to avoid custodial sentences.

Plan Your Defence

Yield and Role Analysis

Police experts often estimate the 'potential yield' of a grow based on optimal conditions, inflating the potential street value. We instruct independent forensic experts to provide a realistic yield calculation, often significantly lowering the 'category' of the offence.

We also fight to establish a 'Lesser Role'. If you were merely a 'gardener' with no influence on the chain and limited financial reward, the sentence should be vastly lower than that of the organisers.

Personal Medical Use?

Growing for your own needs? We fight to keep you out of prison.

Legal Aid Availability

For many criminal matters, from police station interviews to Crown Court trials, public funding (Legal Aid) may be available to cover your legal costs.

Eligibility is determined by the seriousness of the case and, in some instances, a means assessment. Our team will conduct an immediate, confidential assessment of your eligibility to ensure that financial constraints do not stand in the way of a robust defence.
